Applying to our CDT is a simple three-step process. All you have to do is check your eligibility to apply to the CDT; choose from the projects that we have on offer; and then send us a pre-application form. We will then get in touch with you to confirm if you have been shortlisted for a full application and interview.

To make it easier for you to find projects that suit your expertise, our projects are divided into three streams:

Stream one projects - these all fall within image aquisition or image reconstruction and are specifically attractive to students with a first degree in physics, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or computer sciences.

Stream two projects - these all fall within imaging chemistry and biology. They are most relevant to students with a first degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or pharmacy.

Stream three projects - these all fall within image computing and computational modelling. Students will a first degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, biomedical engineering or another engineering-related discipline will be most aligned to this stream.
