We are delighted to announce that the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Medical Imaging is now accepting applications for the 2016/2017 academic year. There are over 35 different PhD projects available for students interested in applying for a PhD in our Centre for Doctoral Training in Medical Imaging. Students can choose from a wide range of projects within our three research themes: Image acquisition and image reconstruction; Imaging chemistry and imaging biology; Image computing and computational modelling. Project areas include:

  • Imaging (PET, MR, PET/MR, Ultrasound, CT, optical imaging, SPECT)
  • Applications (cardiology, neurology, oncology, perinatal)
  • Methodology (image acquisition and image reconstruction; imaging chemistry and imaging biology; image computing and computational modelling; machine learning; image analysis)
  • Techniques (radiochemistry, radiopharmacy, radiobiology, nuclear medicine)

These 4 year PhDs come with a stipend of at least £16,000 a year and a generous allowance provided for research consumables and for attending UK and international conferences. Read about the application process.
