CDT students are running two stands at the Royal Society’s Summer Science Exhibition to show that radiation can be good for you, especially when harnessed for early cancer diagnosis and precision radiotherapy.

The hands-on at the exhibit allowed visitors to detect disease by finding a radioactive signal and image the radioactive organ, play an interactive game to choose the best type of radiation to kill a tumour and rank the radioactivity of everyday items.

Claudia Hammond from the BBC Health Check team even dropped by to interview Dr Samantha Terry on the use of radiation in cancer treatment. Listen to the interview here:
